How effective is Avega Sr 6mg?

Avega Sr 6mg Tablet is composed of Paliperidone and belongs to atypical antipsychotics. It reduces symptoms by inhibiting specific receptors in the brain where dopamine binds. It is a prolonged-release formulation.

What dose should I choose?

Adults (over the age of 18): 1 Avega Sr 6mg tablet once or twice day, or as directed by the doctor based on the patient's reaction and clinical condition.

For children (5 -17 years), Avega Sr 6mg dose is calculated as per the body weight. Usual dose range is 0.25-2.5 mg/kg/day is recommended.
