About Ceclor 250mg

Ceclor 250 mg Capsule is an antibiotic medication. It is used to treat various bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and infections of the skin and ear. Ceclor 250 mg Capsule is used to treat bacterial infections of the middle ear (otitis media), skin, urinary tract and respiratory tract (pneumonia, sinusitis, etc.). It will not work for infections caused by viruses. Ceclor 250 mg works by preventing the cell wall synthesis in bacterial cells. This stops the bacteria from reproducing and growing, therefore, it clears up the bacterial infection.

What dose should I choose?

In adults, the usual recommended dose is 1-2 capsules taken orally every 8 hours.

In children and adolescents, the recommended dose is 20-40 mg/kg of body weight every 8 hours. The use of Ceclor Suspension is recommended in children.

If you skip a dose by any chance, take it as soon as you remember. Skip the already missed dose if it’s almost time for the next one. Do not double the dose.
