PCL SPIT SALIVA 10min COVID-19 ANTIGEN is an in vitro diagnostic medical device based on the immunochromatographic assay (ICA) used for detection of SARS-Cov-2 antigens in nasopharyngeal specimens or human saliva. This test is used for the detection of antigens of the SARS-Cov-2 virus in people suspected of COVID-19.

PCL SPIT SALIVA 10min COVID-19 ANTIGEN uses COVID-19 antibodies labelled with tiny particles and attached to a nitrocellulose membrane near the sample hole of the test card. After its application, capillary forces pull the sample from the sample hole to the device’s test region. When the sample liquid reaches the COVID-19 antibodies, they separate from the membrane and are moved along the test card. The clinical sensitivity of this test is 91%, and the clinical specificity is 99%.
