About Vastarel 20mg

Vastarel 20mg Tablet is used with other medications for the symptomatic management of stable angina pectoris (chest pain triggered by decreased oxygen supply from reduced blood flow to the heart). This medicine is used when patients do not respond adequately to other agents or medications.

How effective Vastarel 20mg?

Vastarel 20mg Tablet includes an important agent called Trimetazidine. Trimetazidine is an anti-ischemic (or anti-anginal) metabolic agent of the fatty acid oxidation inhibitor class, which means that it improves myocardial glucose utilization through inhibition of fatty acid metabolism. Vastarel 20mg medicine is used in combination with other medicines to treat angina pectoris. This medicine protects the heart cells from the effects of a reduced oxygen supply during an episode of angina.

What dose should I choose?

The recommended dose for an adult (18 and above) is 1 Tablet of Vastarel 20mg, up to 3 times a day, preferably with meals.

Vastarel 20mg Tablet is not recommended for use in children (17 and below).
