About Zerifax 200mg Tablet

Zerifax 200mg Tablet is used for the treatment of diarrhoea due to common bacteria known as E. coli (traveller’s diarrhoea). This medicine is also used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) and hepatic encephalopathy (HE).

How effective is Zerifax 200mg?

Zerifax 200mg Tablet is composed of Rifaximin, which belongs to a group of medicines known as antibiotics. This medicine shows effectiveness by stopping the growth of bacteria and eventually killing them. Zerifax is not effective against viral infections, such as fever, flu, or the common cold.
